CERMUSA Employee and SFU Faculty Member to Co-Present at Diabetes Meeting

Dawna Knee, CERMUSA Technology Coordinator, and Camille Wendekier, former CERMUSA employee and now Saint Francis University nursing faculty, will be co-presenting at the American Association of Diabetes Education 36th Annual Meeting August 5 - 8, 2009, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms. Knee and Ms. Wendekier will be discussing the My Health Education & Resources Online (MyHERO) website, which was developed by CERMUSA researchers to provide healthcare education to rural southwest central Pennsylvania communities as part of a research protocol. The intent of this healthcare education website is to provide up-to-date, reliable medical information to patients, but is not intended as a replacement for medical care providers. They will also discuss ways individuals can find unbiased healthcare education websites to use as references.
