2014 Faith Based Health Ministry Conference
October 17, 2014

Health care providers, clergy, and lay persons in faith communities are invited to this exciting program to learn about coming changes in our healthcare system and the contributions that faith communities can make to the health of the nation. Extensive research focused on the relation between religion and health establishes the importance of faith to lifestyles and thus to health. The provisions of the Affordable Care Act will create enormous pressure to support individuals and communities in adopting healthier lifestyles and partnering to monitor important parameters of health. The role of faith communities in fostering good stewardship of our bodies, relationships, and resources necessary for a full life offers an important resource for responding to this need. Come to explore these issues and develop ways that faith communities can promote health and wellness.
