DiSepio Symposium

The DiSepio Symposium Series (2 day event) is an ongoing series of seminars dedicated to current trends in research, innovative therapeutic strategies, and cutting-edge programming in the areas of health and wellness. This annual event offers education and continuing education credits to a variety of disciplines, including Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Athletic Trainers.

2015 Conference Overview:

Day 1 Current Concepts in the Evaluation and Management of the Lumbar Spine: This session is designed to familiarize attendees with performing an evidence-based examination, assess patient important outcomes, and devise a tailored intervention for patients with acute and chronic lumbar spine pain. Day 1 will target physical therapists only, and will include both lecture and lab-based content to provide the attendee with knowledge and hands-on skills that can immediately be utilized in clinical practice.

Day 2 Sixth Annual Athletic and Orthopaedic Health and Wellness Symposium:This event is designed to familiarize attendees with current trends in the management of ankle/foot and wrist/hand injuries with focus on medical evaluation and treatment, surgical management, and rehabilitation. It will feature morning presentations by sports medicine physicians followed by breakout sessions, which will allow the participant to select sessions pertaining to topics relevant to their area of clinical practice. Day 2 will target physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and athletic trainers.
