DiSepio Symposium

The DiSepio Symposium Series is an ongoing series of seminars dedicated to current trends in research, innovative therapeutic strategies, and cutting-edge programming in the areas of health and wellness.  This annual event offers education and continuing education credits to a variety of disciplines, including Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Athletic Trainers.

2014 Conference Overview:

Day 1 Fifth Annual Athletic and Orthopaedic Health and Wellness Symposium:
This event is designed to familiarize attendees with current trends in the management of shoulder and knee injuries with focus on biomechanical evaluation and treatment. It will feature a keynote speaker followed by breakout sessions, which will allow the participant to select sessions pertaining to topics relevant to their area of clinical practice. Day 1 will target physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and athletic trainers.

Day 2 Evidence-Based Physical Therapy for Thoracic Spine Pain:
This session is designed to familiarize attendees with performing an evidence-based examination, assess patient important outcomes, and devise a tailored intervention for patients with acute and chronic thoracic spine pain. Day 2 will target physical therapists only, and will include both lecture and lab-based content to provide the attendee with knowledge and hands-on skills that can immediately be utilized in clinical practice.
