- The focus of this inaugural conference was Chronic Care: Model, Solutions, and Technology Applications. With the ever-increasing need to provide efficient, effective chronic care for afflicted individuals, especially in rural and underserved areas, this event explored the Chronic Care Model and the escalating presence of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), as well as the causes treatments, and technological advances that encompass healthcare, both in the military and civilian populations.

- The focus of this year's conference was Connecting Rural America to Better Health. The purpose was to offer healthcare providers the opportunity to engage in education and dialogue regarding obstacles and challenges to healthcare in rural practice settings, as well as disseminate the most recent findings and technology regarding treatment for chronic diseases, mental health, and rehabilitation.
